In this piece the artist utilizes her methodology of framing her real life events as performance art. Here she agreed to take a job performing a video taped striptease for a private collector, arranged by a 3rd party. The artist agreed to take the job only if she could also bring her video camera and tripod and tape the session. She then video taped them while they video taped her, making the voyeurs the subject of her piece, and the video watching audience part of this voyeuristic triangle.
“…this pornographer cannot acknowledge this intersubjective turn of Clark’s camera without setting his own chauvinist, fetishistic agenda on its backside admitting he is not the sole agency at play, determined to sequester treasured scopophillic goodies against the grain of a feminist counterattack. He is merely an actant in something larger, an economy of entangled and competing gazes with different and perhaps oppositional economies of politics and pleasure. “Ooh La La” “
