This live performance was performed at the 2015 Dragon’s Pearl ritual birthday event for feminist surrealist, performance artist, mystic and Tantric author Penny Slinger, at her Goddess Temple in Boulder Creek, CA.
Ritualizing her appearance in a white rose and pearl head dress and a metal embellished white gown, Clark initiated the ritual by establishing sacred space. She called in the four directions and spirit helpers, smudging with Sage from an Abalone shell. She explained to the audience, the steps which they could take in order to participate in the ritual, and how the water in the large brass bowl in front of her had been ritually prepared. It contained roses and rose oil to bring out the energy of love, high altitude pink Himalayan salt to purify and cleanse, and it was charged with the words LOVE and FORGIVENESS which were written onto plastic and taped to the inside of the bowl. Further she had imprinted it with focused mental intentions that it be a powerful device to transmute their negativity. She instructed the audience to line up. One by one she sprinkled them with the cool, rose scented mixture, as she recited words about love and forgiveness, and some individuals she she received intuited messages for which she also revealed to them. Once seated again, she asked her audience to mentally release any problem or issue of their choice into the charged water, which would neutralize the negative energy attached to their issues. She assisted with this energetically. Next she brought a neutral high energy down into the room and into the audience members. She finished the piece by placing the bowl of water on her shoulder and walking through and past the audience and outside into the nighttime woods. She poured out the contents of the bowl in the forest, where the negative energy was further transmuted by the Earth.
